Rentals for Performances and Meetings
TUUC is open for business!
You will be pleasantly surprised to see all the upgrades in the building, such as new comfortable chairs and updated offices.
We are happy to announce that rental cost has not been increased but there are additional charges for monitors and AV techs to use any of the audio equipment.
While the world is still dealing with COVID variants breakouts, we feel comfortable enough to make space available at the church for some rental activities again. Although we continue to take precautionary measures with those using the space at TUUC, we are now actively accepting bookings at the church with the following conditions:
· As of November 1, 2022, masks are no longer required in the building.
· Currently receptions are allowed in the lobby area or outside on the lower-level patio and grove area.
· Tables and folding chairs are still available to use for receptions.
· We are currently allowing drinking or eating in the lobby of the church.
· All utensils, plates, cups, tablecloths, etc. needed for receptions must be brought to the church by the renter.
· The coffee pot and crafts in the kitchen may be used for a fee with the assistance of the monitor on duty and must be cleaned after use by the renter.
· All trash and recyclables must be taken outside to the dumpster and recycle bins after your event. (Please do not put plastic bags in the recycle bin.)
RENTAL RATES:
The rental rates for spaces within the building have not increased but we must now include the cost of the monitors at $15.00 per hour. Monitors are required to open the building 30 minutes before and close after your scheduled time, so please take this in account. AV techs are essential to run the newly installed audio-visual equipment at $25.00 per hour. All charges will be itemized, and payments should be made to Towson Unitarian Universalist Church or TUUC.
These areas are currently available:
Upper-Level Meeting Room and Lobby (100-150 people) - $300/four hours
Upper-Level Meeting Room, Lobby and Kitchen - $350/four hours
Upper-Level Lobby only (50 people) - $175/four hours
Lower-Level Lounge (40 people) - $150/four hours
Classrooms 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 (rooms rented individually) - $90/four hours – capacity varies.
The Grove with access to restrooms (limit of 50 people) - $175/four hours
Security deposits are required to cover breach of contract and any damages or costs for cleanup not performed by the renter. All rentals require a security deposit of one month’s rent for Extended Rentals or $250 for all other rentals. The security deposit must be submitted with the Church Rental Application. Security deposit checks will be deposited in the church account and a refund check will be issued to the renter in the full amount no later than 30 days after the date (or last date) of the use of facilities, less any costs subtracted out for cleaning or damages. The security deposit is non-refundable if there is a breach of contract initiated by the renter. Any returned security deposit will be accompanied by an itemized accounting of all charges made against the deposit. Please make checks payable to Towson Unitarian Universalist Church or TUUC. Should you wish to pay via credit card, payments are accepted at https://tuucdatabase.breezechms.com/give/online. Note: Insufficient fund fee on all returned checks is $36.00. Only cash will be accepted afterwards. Rates are subject to change. Long term flat rates available.
