TUUC members attended, either in-person or virtually, the UU-Legislative Ministry Kick-off (UU-LM-MD) on February 8, 2025. It was an informative and energizing meeting. We met U.S. Representative Sarah Elfreth who was the Lawmaker of 2025 and we heard from Delegate Bonnie Cullison. We learned about the priority bills for 2025. These bills cover six issue areas: Climate Change, Criminal Justice, Healthcare, Immigration, Gun Violence and Medical Aid in Dying. — Ann Beezley

Cooking with the Nonnas -- These two events were offered as Auction items in 2024. Jane and Ann taught participants how to make an Italian Feast. The vegetarian version on February 15 featured meatless-meatballs. The meat-lovers version was on February 22, featuring Braciola. We made homemade pasta and stuffed peppers and a beautiful Nutella Flower each date. We had a great time working and eating together. An opportunity to see Love in Action. — Ann Beezley

The Indian Dinner and Slide Show donation from the Auction was held at TUUC on March 15, 2025. We had a lot of fun talking about travels and international affairs as we ate food Indian food prepared by the Katmandu Kitchen in Towson. Then Marilyn Maze and her grand daughter, Elise Myers, described their experiences traveling in India last year. Many of those watching compared these images to memories of earlier trips and appreciated how much India has to offer a traveler, and how much more comfortable and less emotionally draining traveling in India is today than in the past. — Marilyn Maze
