SOUL MATTERS SHARING CIRCLES REGISTRATION BY SEPT. 15
Autumn is a time for the first day of the new school year; for the Jewish high holy days, remembering the beginning of the world and marking the start of a new year; and, perhaps, for committing to a new spiritual practice. In this month when our spiritual theme is the practice of invitation, consider this your invitation to probe our monthly spiritual themes in more depth; connect with long-time and new TUUCers; and practice personal well-being.
Our Soul Matters Sharing Circles will begin meeting on Zoom on September 24 to explore the monthly theme. Prior to gathering, you will receive a packet of possible spiritual practices; questions on the theme; readings, videos and music. Participants are invited to choose one spiritual practice to engage and one question to reflect upon. In a circle of six to ten people, we share our experience with the practice and our thoughts on the question. We learn more about ourselves and connect with others on a deeper level.
This year, the focus of Soul Matters is on the actual practice of the monthly theme:
The Practice of...
September 24: Invitation
October 22: Deep Listening
November 19: Repair
December 10: Presence
January 28: Story
February 25: Inclusion
March 25: Trust
April 22: Joy
May 27: Imagination
June 10: Freedom
We are asking participants to commit to meeting once a month so that we can really get to know one another. We understand that something may come up that will require missing a meeting or two. But these are not stand-alone sessions. We are scheduled to meet on Sept. 24, Oct. 22, Nov. 19, Dec. 10, Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 25, April 22, May 27, and June 10th.
If you would like to participate, register (here) by September 15.
Looking forward to exploring spiritual practices of our faith with soul friends!
